Now that the second season of Tuned has wrapped, it’s time to get back to The Smoking Tire video series! We filmed this one a couple months back but have been saving it until now, lest we leave you without video for too long.

We love the Porsche Cayman, and in its final iteration before the total redesign, Porsche has sent us the Cayman R, the lightest and fastest version of the Cayman that Porsche wants to sell you from the factory. I may be a bit spoiled, as the first in-car review I ever did was for the Farnbacher Loles Cayman GTR with a 400 hp engine, but nevertheless, we put the Cayman R up against a proper rival, the BMW 1 Series M coupe. You may remember we took the last drive in the 1M last year, and absolutely fell in love with it.
