If you have heard of the Hedman Performance Group you certainly are not alone. They have been around since 1954 making high-quality performance parts, including their renown headers. However, they also own Trans-Dapt Performance Products, which makes a truly special range of oil pans.
Connecting oil pans to automotive beauty probably is not your first reaction but just take a look at this piece of art. The pictured Trans-Dapt oil pan is the same one we featured in multiple Motorz episodes. Finished in chrome, this oil pan takes an overlooked yet integral part of engine performance and makes it stand out. However, beauty is much more than skin deep in this case. Trans-Dapt oil pans feature much larger capacities than standard OEM components. This increased size allows your engine to run cooler and more efficiently. Ground clearance an issue? With our Trans-Dapt oil pan, the shallow 8 1/4″ depth meant scraping is far from a problem.
Best of all, Trans-Dapt offers an incredible range of oil pans of varying vehicles. The oil pan we featured alone was designed specifically for Chevy engines built from 1955 through 1979. Built right here in the U.S.A., Trans-Dapt parts are built for both drag-strip and street usage.
