Here’s a great vid on how ILM created New York for THE AVENGERS without having to really go to New York. Stands to reason that shooting in a location, and paying for a location may be a thing of the past. And so will the actor’s per diem.

But big films like blockbusters can now shoot anywhere they want and never have to go at all, thanks to ILM.
