SpaceX has set history once again this time by landing a previously flown Falcon 9 rocket after separating from a 2nd stage rocket aimed at delivering the SES-10 communications satellite into Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO). This marks a historic milestone for the young Elon Musk-backed space company as it paves the way for affordable commercial space flights through the rapid reusability of previously flown rockets.
The SES-10 mission took off from the historic Apollo-era Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Thursday, March 30, at 6:27 p.m. EDT.
