No Compromise
As Indigenous peoples we are in a struggle to protect the land and our way of life, a struggle that the generations before us fought on every level of their being.
We are going up against a system that has been designed to exterminate our very existence to this land and our way of life. The colonial state, industrialism and capitalism have a massive amount of resources to force their agenda and continued exploitation of our lands, waters and lives. Government and industry operate as a unified front to continue the assault upon life and land.
To defend the land, the people upon the land and our way of life we must position ourselves in alliance with the many nations that are making a stand against the onslaught of colonialism, capitalism and industrialization. The mechanisms of this beast are all the same be it government policies, foreign investors, corporations or general population privilege.
As Indigenous people we are not alone in this fight but we must be cautious that we do not compromise our sovereignty for support, we are a distinct people, we have inherent rights to our land and life.
