Amazon Canoe of Life now at COP21 Indigenous Pavilion

The Canoe of Life, from the Ecuadorian Amazon, has arrived at the COP21. Please see the photos below.
This morning representatives of the Kichwa community of Sarayaku, along with the Lummi indigenous youth delegation and allies, officially welcomed the canoe to the waters of Paris at the Bassin de la Villette. Thereafter it traveled to Le Bourget, where it is now on display within the Indigenous Pavilion (Climate Generations area) through the week.
We encourage press to visit the canoe in the coming days and speak with representatives of the Sarayaku delegation.

Also, the Sarayaku spokespeople are participating in a series of public events within Le Bourget in the coming days:

We will examine WECAN's Women's Climate Action Agenda, a climate justice blueprint for our path forward; present the Sarayaku people of Ecuador's “Living Forest” proposal, highlighting Amazonian indigenous solutions; and showcase women as agents of change in transitioning to 100% renewable energy.
