4 Cops Arresting Jaywalker Photographed
Austin police arrested a non-violent jaywalker Thursday near the University of Texas campus, spurring outrage. (Austin police can be reached at (512) 974-5000 – SLAM them!)
“She repeatedly pleaded with them, saying that she was just exercising and to let her go,” the witness said.
The woman jogger, appearing to weigh no more than 110 pounds, “apparently required four burly APD officers, two on bikes, unashamed about being caught on camera as the scene played out in broad daylight in full public view, to place her in the back of a squad car,” says The Daily Texan.
Footage of the incident shows the woman saying, “I did nothing wrong,” and “I was crossing the street,” to which the person filming the event acknowledges, “I saw you.”
“I didn’t do anything wrong. I didn’t do anything wrong,” the woman screams as officers placed in the back of a squad car. “I didn’t fucking do anything wrong. I just crossed the street.”
Austin Police Department spokespersons told the Texan paper that officers “proactively” patrol the area around the UT campus conducting overall pedestrian and bike safety enforcement, but that there was no specific initiative in place to target jaywalkers.
“This is just one more example,” the Daily Texan writes, “of how the police state apparatus is encroaching on the private lives of citizens and more activities are becoming regarded as thought crimes, with everyone being guilty until proven innocent.”

You’re right, I’m neither republican or democrat, so I’m on the outside looking in and see the ridiculousness of both sides and I’m particularly disgusted with the democrats today, and on any other day republicans so, my apologies. What I should have said is these pics make me sick at my stomach. These pics could have been taken on any North Korean street but alas this is America. What I should have said is that these ignorant cops that have distanced themselves from humanity are not going to have an easy go of it when SHTF. If I had it my way Bush would be locked up for treason against America and Americans but Obama should be right there with him. These pics were truly disgusting and nobody should ever go to jail for jaywalking but at least she lived through it, or I hope she did, just yesterday a 17 year old kid was murdered by the cops for answering his door. What is more sad than these pics is that we’re letting this tyranny reign down on us and we’ letting it happen.

This is all just plain demoralizing. No wonder the hippies opted out.
The hippies I knew did anything but opt out. That was just a damning painted media description of them because they threatened a corrupt, inhumane and dangerous corporate-government status quo.
They were the ones protesting US human rights abuses in Vietnam and cvicl rights abuses of African Americans.
They were the ones pioneering environmentalism and advocating non-poisoned food.
The only thing they opted out of was being among the ranks of the rest of Americans who’d lost the capacity of critical thinking and thinking about more than themselves.

I’m tipping that this is staged as everything else seems to be in the usa, and when that happens, it is always someone who gets great photos / film of the event, unbelievable coincidence, I think they want to scare everybody, that’s all,, it is just my opinion of it all
