Anti-US Base Candidate Wins Okinawa Governor Race. Takeshi Onaga, who had vowed to block the shifting of U.S. flight operations from Marine Corps Air Station Futenma to Camp Schwab, defeated incumbent Hirokazu Nakaima handily Sunday in Okinawa’s governor race.
