A Sasquatch (aka Bigfoot) has been sighted in Idaho and this time he’s being blamed for a car accident and the death of an innocent fellow creature.
An Idaho woman who crashed into a deer on the night of March 22 claims the animal was chased in front of her car by a sasquatch.
The unidentified 50-year-old from the town of Tensed apparently became just that as she was driving along U.S. 95 near Potlatch and saw a shaggy seven- to eight-foot-tall creature running after the deer on the side of the highway, the Moscow-Pullman Daily News reports.
The woman told police that, after speeding by, she took a look in her rear-view mirror and next thing she knew the deer ran into the road and slammed into her Subaru Forester.
Police who investigated the accident say they found no trace of the real culprit. However, we know this is not fake news. There have been other sightings in the same area. See the map at the top of this post, which depicts Sasquatch sightings in the U.S. and Canada as of 2008. More up-to-date information can be found at this link. (Any sightings near you?)
Before you scoff, consider this: You’re placing yourself in danger of being called a racist. After all, Sasquatch is derived from a Native American term for the creature. Surely you’re not going to question the credibility of members of a First Nations tribe? In this country, in today’s climate, you make fun at your own peril.
I’m all for a congressional investigation of Sasquatch. Maybe if we accuse him and his ilk of interfering in the election, taking sides against Hillary Clinton, Congress may decide to look for evidence of his existence and potential “collusion” or “coordination” with President Trump’s campaign.
