Country crooner Hank Williams Jr. probably won’t be invited to the Inaugural Ball if President Obama is reelected.
Country music legend and proverbial rebel, Hank Williams Jr, has taken a swipe at the sitting US President on his new track entitled “Taking Back the Country” — the opening song on his new album entitled Old School, New Rules. Lyrics include lines like, “Don’t tread on me”, and “Barack, pack your bags, head to Chicago, take your teleprompter with you so you’ll know where to go.”
This isn’t the first time Williams has spoken out against Mr. Obama. In July, Williams told Rolling Stone that the president “hates America in the first place, forget about the flag.”
Playing before a crowd of 8,500 at the Iowa State Fair on Friday night, Williams once again ripped the president, labeling him a Muslim who “hates the U.S.,” the Des Moines Register reported.
After playing his song “We Don’t Apologize For America,” Williams made his political views clear about Obama whose father practiced Islam. “We’ve got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S. and we hate him,” he told the crowd, which judging from explosion of cheers and applause the crowd Love It- according to the Register’s reporter.
At the Iowa State Fair, Williams bashed Obama to a crowd saying, “We’ve got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S. and we hate him!”
To make his anti-Obama message known, Williams recently released a 10-disc album titled “Old School, New Rules.” There is no subtlety in the country star’s politically charged song lyrics that blatantly boast “Hey Barack, pack your bags, head to Chicago, take your teleprompter with you so you’ll know where to go.”
Hank Williams (l.) isn’t keeping his vote in November’s presidential election very secret.
