In a radio interview, Code Pink co-founder Medea Benjamin called for the impeachment of President Obama over his policy of permitting drone strikes on American citizens overseas who are members of terrorist organizations.
On WABC Radio’s “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” Sunday, Benjamin affirmed she believes the drone warfare is an impeachable offense.
She said she would go even further and “broaden” a ban on drone strikes to “end the killing of innocent people overseas in countries where we are not at war without any kind of transparency or accountability.”
Asked Klein: “So would you then call, as the co-founder of Code Pink, for the impeachment of President Obama based on these alleged crimes?”
“Sure,” Benjamin responded. “Just like I called for President Obama and George Bush to be taken to the International Criminal Court for war crimes, but it’s not going to happen.”
You asked for it! Sign the petition urging Congress to impeach President Barack Obama.
She continued: “So what do I do instead that might happen? I go for some wimpy kind of legislation in Congress that would maybe lessen the number of people who are going to be killed.”
Benjamin and her group have been at the forefront of activism against drone strikes. Code Pink protesters led by Benjamin interrupted a confirmation hearing last week for John Brennan, Obama’s nominee for CIA director.
As we see radical leftist groups find common ground with the right then we’ll see a ground swelling of the people uniting & finding common ground & put aside differences.
Obamunism lying at every opportunity!
Three years after the White House arranged a hero’s welcome at the State of the Union address for the Fort Hood police sergeant and her partner who stopped the deadly shooting there, Kimberly Munley says President Obama broke the promise he made to her that the victims would be well taken care of.
“Betrayed is a good word,” former Sgt. Munley told ABC News in a tearful interview to be broadcast tonight on “World News with Diane Sawyer” and “Nightline.”
“Not to the least little bit have the victims been taken care of,” she said. “In fact they’ve been neglected.”
Nice to see code pink aren’t as hypocritical some political die hards.
It’s the ignorant blind loyalists who allow tyranny to flourish.
Good to see people standing up…just hope its not too late.
