If people were to have to take a drink every time Barack Obama used “I”, or “me”, “my” , or “mine” in a statement, entire nations would be passed out for years at a time.  (Hmmm…might make the last few years of this presidency easier to take)  Just check out the statement Barack Obama gave regarding the death yesterday of former President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela.  Note how there is NO mention of the United States, America, its people – rather it is all about Barack H. Obama…

______

I am one of the countless millions who drew inspiration from Nelson Mandela’s life.  My very first political action, the first thing Iever did that involved an issue or a policy or politics, was a protest against apartheid.  I studied his words and his writings.

The day that he was released from prison gave me a sense of what human beings can do when they’re guided by their hopes and not by their fears.  And like so many around the globe, I cannot fully imagine my own life without the example that Nelson Mandela set, and so long as I live I will do what I can to learn from him.

  • obama has failed and should do the honourable thing and step down.

  • “…a sense of what human beings can do when they’re guided by their hopes and not by their fears.”

Obama should consider a young 34 year-old woman named Miriam Carey, who may have been “guided by her hopes” in driving to Washington D.C. with her baby daughter on Oct. 3rd. A 270-mile drive from her home in Connecticut, meant she left Stamford around 9 a.m. Did she have hopes that she would be able to introduce her baby to the child’s real father?

The police report reveals Ms. Carey did not ram a White House barrier with her car at all. She turned around at a checkpoint and was then suddenly the subject of a police chase, with several officers firing at her vehicle en route, when she had the baby in the car seat in the back. If the police suspected a bomb in the car, would they shoot at it? Police fire at moving vehicles on a public roadway only in the movies, actually.

The baby is being kept in an unknown location, and her aunts cannot even visit the child now. The family wants custody and is asking for a paternity test of the mysterious man Carey received visits from, whom she never introduced to anybody as her boyfriend. He may not be the father but may have been acting as the go-between for someone else who was paying Carey’s expenses, while she was living at a high-end condo, and driving an expensive late model car.

Two months later, still more questions than answers. Also wondering why the family’s lawyer was immediately arrested on a trumped up charge the day after he gave a press conference. He was released almost as fast.
