It was a rare moment in history.

More than 40 leaders of the Western world came together to make a statement against Islamic terrorism, marching with millions of French citizens through the streets of Paris, but it was the absence of one leader that continues to grab the bulk of the media attention.

From U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, on the right to Piers Morgan on the left, many expressed outrage that neither President Obama nor any of his top aides made the trip to Paris to join the dozens of world leaders in Sunday’s anti-terrorism rally.

Vice President Joe Biden stayed home in Delaware. Secretary of State John Kerry was on assignment in India. Attorney General Eric Holder was in Paris but did not participate in the march.

In an op-ed in Time magazine, Cruz said the decision by Obama to blow off the Paris rally, was “dangerous.”

“Many of our allies gathered together in Paris yesterday in an admirable display of determination. Our President should have been there, because we must never hesitate to stand with our allies,” the potential presidential candidate wrote.

“The attack on Paris, just like previous assaults on Israel and other allies, is an attack on our shared values,” Cruz added. “And, we are stronger when we stand together, as French President François Hollande said, for ‘liberty, equality, and fraternity.’”

Radio host Rush Limbaugh said he didn’t think Obama was interested in a gathering presenting himself as “one among many.”

  • I do not care for Obama but this time give him a break.
How many fricken leaders walked in NYC when over 3000 go killed in 9/11. I did not see a one did I miss something or am I blind? And I really do not care if it was an inside job.

  • He won’t join in on fighting ISIS for real, for a LOT of reasons:
    1) He is 100% a Muslim. If he betrayed them, he would certainly die soon after.
    2) He is party to the Illumine’, as the French President mentioned in his recent speech, it was they who set it up.
3)This seems like a ploy after the fake video, to keep our attention at home again using BO as the scapegoat, so we don’t see the larger Picture.
4)BO controls ISIS, why should he bother standing up against them?
5)The world already knows BO is Muslim, ISIS, and Illumine scapegoat, and nothing he does will change their knowing this. Why would he and his aides waste there time working on this when they all ready plan to use this or another attack in the US as a ploy for Martial Law? It just shows how close we are to them trying to pull the massive blanket over the country, so we cannot see the truth behind their actions.
