That’s One Small Step for a Dictator, A Giant Leap Towards Dictatorship
In a recent talk on ignoring the Constitution and doing whatever he wants in regard to ignoring and formalizing the status quo of ignoring or even supporting illegal immigration, “Obama argued that he has merely “expanded my authorities” – not broken any laws:
“What we’ve done is we’ve expanded my authorities under executive action and prosecutorial discretion as far as we can…”
Obama called the “political process” a “separate track”:
“So we’re going to have to keep on with the political process on a separate track. But in the meantime, we’re going to do everything that we can to make sure that we implement executive actions as we’ve discussed.”
Maybe this doesn’t sound unreasonable to you yet, especially if you are one of the few Americans who agree with Obama’s policies. But a president is not supposed to make the political process a seperate side track to bypass at will when he chooses to expand his own power and authority without consent. But this quote really gets my attention:
“if Mr. McConnell, the leader of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House, John Boehner, want to have a vote on whether what I’m doing is legal or not, they can have that vote. I will veto that vote.”
Why do good men stand by and do nothing?
Perhaps my thoughts are too easily drawn to the fulfillment of end times Bible prophecy, but this sounds like something the “Man of Lawlessness” (the Antichrist) would say.
