We all know that Barack Obama has been campaigning ever since he got into office, but during his original 2007/08 campaign trail, he promised, among many things, to repeal the Patriot Act. This promise, along with the rest of them, was broken.
On May 26, 2011, Barack Obama not only re-signed the Patriot Act, but added to it. Eventually, he also added the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act). In short, The NDAA is an act that grants the president and his administration the right to arrest, detain, torture and disappear any government detractors.
Well, the time may have finally arrived. The Patriot Act was born out of a bi-partisan effort, and it looks like it could be killed with a bi-partisan effort.
