Here is video of the president’s words:
Barack Obama is taking the actions of a clearly disturbed (and highly medicated) young man and using that singular event to paint yet again, broad brush strokes of racism over the entirety of the United States.
That is NOT leadership. That is NOT presidential.
What it is is dangerously divisive. He is once again giving the green light for race-based outrage throughout this country. He is justifying people’s anger, and in doing so, is also directly encouraging it.
In the same week of the South Carolina tragedy, more black people were murdered in Chicago – most of them black youth. Should we as a nation use the daily violence of black crime in Chicago or elsewhere to declare ALL blacks to be incapable of living responsible and productive lives? Absolutely not, and yet this president is doing just that as he attempts to charge the United States with racism in 2015.
Crying racism is EASY, and Democrats have been doing it for years and it has a been a process that has decimated minority communities for generations. The charge of racism is an out. It is negligent posturing in the absence of real leadership and for nearly seven years now, that is the only thing this country has been getting out of the Obama White House – repeated posturing.
Where are the president’s words of gratitude to the community of Charleston for how it has come together, unified regardless of race (without the interference of the federal government) to begin its own process of healing? It appears this president despises that unity. He wants to diminish it while once again making the mindless chant of “racism-racism-racism.”
America has grown so weary of the repeatedly divisive nature of the current president. We grow weary of being told over and over again how flawed this country was and is. We are tired of politicians who constantly remind us of THEIR version of the past so that they might then succeed in creating THEIR version of our collective future.
Enough is enough.
