Barack Obama looks nearly as old and tires as his policies these days and that fatigue is certain to only get worse as his own Democrats handed him a stunning and overwhelming defeat against his bid to win approval for the fast-track trade legislation being called, “Obamatrade.”
The vote in Congress marks the most united opposition across party lines of the Obama White House to date:
144 Democrats voted against the bill and only 40 voted for it, even after the president arrived to Congress and personally pleaded lawmakers pass the proposed legislation.
158 Republicans voted no as well, with 86 voting yes.
In the land of D.C., those kind of bipartisan numbers on legislation a sitting president is so aggressively working to see passed is stunning and might very well mark the moment when the Age of Obama comes to an end.
