Derek Kan, Nominee for Director, AMTRAK Board of Directors
Derek Kan is the Director of Strategy at Genapsys, a position he has held since 2014. From 2012 to 2014, he worked as a Management Consultant at Bain & Company. Mr. Kan served as an Advisor at Elliott Management in 2010. Previously, he was a Policy Advisor to Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell from 2008 to 2010 and the Chief Economist for the Senate Republican Policy Committee from 2006 to 2007. From 2004 to 2006, Mr. Kan served as a Presidential Management Fellow at the White House Office of Management and Budget. Mr. Kan received a B.S. from the University of Southern California, an M.Sc. from the London School of Economics, and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
