Vice President Joe Biden spoke with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos by phone yesterday to discuss the strong and growing bilateral ties between the United States and Colombia. The Vice President congratulated President Santos on the progress in the Colombian Peace Process in recent months. The two leaders agreed that peace in Colombia would mark a new era in the Western Hemisphere and pledged to continue their efforts to support a just and lasting peace.
