Statement by OMB Director Mick Mulvaney:

Budgetary Impact Analysis for Executive Order Entitled
“Comprehensive Plan for Reorganizing Executive Departments and Agencies”

This executive order directs the Office of Management and Budget to conduct a review and provide a plan with recommendations regarding the reorganization of the executive branch departments and agencies. Implementing this executive order would have a de minimis impact on costs and revenues to the Federal Government. The benefits of this executive order include the development of a detailed plan to modernize the Federal Government and make it leaner, more effective, and more accountable by reorganizing, consolidating, and eliminating unnecessary components. Implementing this executive order would have a de minimis impact on mandatory and discretionary obligations and outlays, as well as on revenues to the Federal Government, in the 5-fiscal year period beginning in fiscal year 2017. The agency that will be impacted by this executive order is the Executive Office of the President.
