Statement of OMB Director Mick Mulvaney:

Budgetary Impact Analysis for Executive Order Entitled
“Promoting Energy Independence and Economic Growth”

This executive order directs agencies to review certain regulatory actions and rescinds certain climate-related Presidential actions. Implementing this executive order would have a de minimis impact on costs and revenues to the Federal Government. The benefits of this executive order include the promotion of clean and safe development of our Nation’s vast energy resources, and the eventual elimination of regulations that burden and unnecessarily encumber energy production, constrain economic growth, and prevent job creation. Implementing this executive order would have a de minimis impact on mandatory and discretionary obligations and outlays, as well as on revenues to the Federal Government, in the 5-fiscal year period beginning in fiscal year 2017. The agencies anticipated to be impacted by this executive order are all executive departments and agencies and the Executive Office of the President.
