It was announced yesterday that Tom Emmer, the Republican endorsed candidate for governor in 2010, has joined the board of a new political committee, A Stronger Minnesota. From the Republicans I spoke with yesterday, there were two reactions: “ugh” and “no!” While the Republican Party of Minnesota and activists across Minnesota are still recovering from nuclear winter brought on by Emmer’s candidacy in 2010, the general consensus is that Emmer is thinking of making another run for governor in 2014.
