(Before It's News)

Yep. Probably some. Maybe. Most health care costs, however, are skyrocketing. Here is the New York Times.

Health insurance companies across the country are seeking and winning double-digit increases in premiums for some customers, even though one of the biggest objectives of the Obama administration’s health care law was to stem the rapid rise in insurance costs for consumers.

Particularly vulnerable to the high rates are small businesses and people who do not have employer-provided insurance and must buy it on their own.

Probably some might not have possibly increased… maybe.

Although rates paid by employers are more closely tracked than rates for individuals and small businesses, policy experts say the law has probably kept at least some rates lower than they otherwise would have been.

Never mind double digit increases year over year since the law passed. Federal officials insist you believe them, not the price you are paying.

Federal officials say the law has resulted in significant savings. “The health care law includes new tools to hold insurers accountable for premium hikes and give rebates to consumers,” said Brian Cook, a spokesman for Medicare, which is helping to oversee the insurance reforms.

Read the whole article and you will see that the author never once even touches on the idea that the rate increases might be because health care law turned insurance into some kind of a bizarre, corporatist pay to play scam. Whatever it is, it isn’t insurance and it is expensive. This in-your-face reality never occurs to the writer.

Reading through the comments it is obvious that the current situation has people begging for a Canadian style single-payer system. If Obamacare is a health care only version of Cloward-Piven, it seems to be working. The system is collapsing and the plebes are begging for the federal government to save them.
