(Before It's News)

Maybe there is hope for the GOP yet!

The House GOP conference has produced a video to remind people what the president has been doing during the past two weeks (as opposed to working on the sequester) –Basically traveling around the country bashing Republicans.

The President today travels to Hampton Roads, Virginia – 180 miles from Washington, DC – to continue his “endless campaign” for higher taxes instead of making the 1.7 mile trip to Harry Reid’s office on Capitol Hill to find a replacement for his sequester.  At a time when the President should be working with Senate Democrats to find smarter, more responsible spending cuts, he is singularly focused on holding more rallies to push for tax hikes.

The GOP-controlled house has passed to bills to replace the Obama created sequestration. But Harry Reid and the Democratic-controlled Senate did not consider either bill.

  • H.R. 5652, Sequester Replacement Reconciliation Act
  • H.R. 6684, Spending Reduction Act of 2012

Makes one wonder what could happen if Obama stayed in Washington DC to do his job. But then again that would assume he wants a solution
