50–50 Gender Quota Proposed for Montana Legislature
Liberals aren’t just insane. They are this insane:
A ballot measure in Montana that would require an equal number of men and women to serve in the state Legislature is a step closer to getting on the November ballot.
A petition for the measure was approved last Tuesday by the Montana secretary of state’s office. The measure would force the Montana Legislature to reconstruct its gender makeup in a 50/50 split. Currently, women now hold 41 of the 150 seats in the Legislature.
If they can even come close to getting this on the ballot in Montana, I’m surprised it is not already law in New York and California.
While arguing against lunacy like this, be very careful not to mention that there are very good cultural, psychological, and even physiological reasons that there may be more men than women in a given legislature. It is a thought crime to acknowledge such reasons.
Next will come bills requiring that the percentage of blacks in the legislature precisely mirrors the percentage of the population. Then the percentage of homosexuals. Then the percentage of illegal aliens. Then the percentage with Down syndrome, ad nauseam.
From the point of view of a liberal, however, it makes sense. The ultimate qualification for any position of authority is to be something other than a normal white male. This qualification, augmented only by a Muslim name, was enough to elevate Obama to the presidency.
Rather than entangle themselves in endless bean-counting, libs may as well cut to the chase and push a law making it illegal for a white male to hold political office unless he is either a Muslim or a sexual deviant.
