When we discuss Warmists being hypocrites, this is exactly what we’re referring to
(Mail And Guardian) Al Gore, the former American vice-president and Nobel Peace prize winner, spoke on the second day of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps training in Johannesburg on Thursday. The event drew environmental thinkers and activists from around the continent. The corps is a global movement to teach people about climate change and help them adapt to a changing world.
In his presentation, Gore gave an overview of how humans were driving climate change and how it was affecting conditions around the world right now.
“Whenever any important question is ultimately resolved into a choice between right and wrong, the outcome becomes inevitable.” The current global system was destroying the habitability of the planet by burning fossil fuels, Gore said, adding that it was wrong and needed to change. “We can see the pathway ahead very clearly and we are going to prevail.”
A round trip flight from Tennessee to Johannesburg, S.A puts out almost 10 metric tons of “carbon pollution” (that’s Gore’s euphemism for CO2). The average “carbon footprint” for Americans is around 19 metric tons yearly. For world citizens, it is around 4 metric tons. So Gore put out almost half of what each American does for a year, and over double for a world citizen, just to give a brief talk in South Africa.
And, yeah, he does his normal insane schtick
The number of warmer days had rapidly increased since the 1980s as a result. Extreme cold and hot days used to occur 0.1% of the time, now they happen 10% of the time.
So greenhouse gases make it cold, too? He blames hurricanes and tropical storms on “climate change”, and pretty much everything. What he fails to show is proof that it is mostly/solely caused by Mankind, instead, like most Warmists, he jumps to conclusions, creating a causal relationship, yet, refuses to live the carbon neutral life he tells everyone else to live.
