Embassy closes doors temporarily due to violence; instructs US citizens in Israel to be cautious, follow Home Front Command instructions.

The US Embassy in Tel Aviv has closed until further notice, a statement posted to their official Facebook page read.The Embassy released a statement following the escalation in violence with Gaza, saying it advises all citizens to stay updated on the official US travel websites as well as follow Israel’s Home Front Command instructions.
As well, the Embassy said that Chief of Mission personnel will not be allowed to travel south of Tel Aviv without approval and that Embassy families are being advised to remain at home.
Israel was hit with more than 70 rockets from Gaza on Wednesday.
