Democrat Congressman’s Mixed Environmental Message
Sophomore Democrat Congressman Patrick Murphy (FL) is quickly becoming a master of playing both sides of an issue.
Murphy was first a Republican, then a Democrat, has hailed Charlie Crist and Bill Clinton, who have undoubtedly served him as seasoned mentors.
Because of his advocacy for environmental issues within his congressional district, Murphy’s recent vote in favor of the controversial Keystone XL pipeline, has left many of this tree-hugging and turtle-kissing constituents to question his motive(s) for doing so.
Floridians know that Murphy recently introduced a bill aimed at funding the restoration of the Indian River Lagooon.
Expect to see more ‘moderation” from Murphy, whose congressional seat is considered to slightly lean Republican.
