It is laughable how reporters are falling over themselves to not attempt to link religion in any way, shape, or form to the Charlie Hebdo attacks in Paris. CNN – once the “most trusted name in news” – has become like an SNL skit.
Witness this latest:
Chris Cuomo: The French president said this was an anti-Semitic attack. Now, of course, it’s a kosher market. We’re also told that many Muslims shopped there as well to fill their own specific religious dietary needs. What have you heard there about how this is perceived and whether or not it was a specific targeting attack of Jews?
Isa Soares: Yes, the people I’ve been speaking to, they’re not really saying it was specifically attacking Jews. This is not particularly a Jewish area in the east of Paris. This is middle class area. It’s lots of different stores. Not just Jewish stores like you said, Muslim stores as well. A variety of shops here.
Of course, the Islamists could have picked any market in Paris… there must be thousands of them scattered throughout the city but they picked a Jewish market and that had nothing to do with religion?
In an article featured in the International Business Times apparently the truth did manage to escape:
“He said he did it to defend oppressed Muslims, especially in Palestine,” explained a BFM reporter, “and he chose a kosher supermarket because it served Jews.”
With this type of investigative journalism how are Americans expected to get any information from their new sources?
For 2014, for example, CNN finished with “all time low ratings.”
MSNBC lost 17% of its news watchers.
It has taken years of dishonest reporting to produce these types of stunning results. What’s amazing is neither CNN nor MSNBC seems to be interested in doing anything to turn it around.
But to suggest that Islamic terrorists seizing a Jewish market has nothing to do with it being Jewish has to be the extreme height of stupidity.
