House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has put together a task force to work on “messaging” for Democrats after losing even more House seats. According to Politico party leaders hope this new team will help them to “reboot their messaging strategy ahead of 2016.” If you look at the list of people on the task force and the districts they represent, it doesn’t appear their class warfare message is going to change, only the way they deliver it. Check out this group of lefties:
Jan Schakowsky (IL-09): PVI D+15, Obama 65% in 2012.
Chellie Pingree (ME-01): PVI D+9, Obama 60% in 2012.
Mike Doyle (PA-14): PVI D+16, Obama 68% in 2012.
Jared Polis (CO-02): PVI D+8, Obama 58% in 2012
Eric Swalwell (CA-15): PVI D+16, Obama 68% in 2012
Hakeem Jeffries (NY-08): PVI D+35, Obama 89% in 2012
Richard Neal (MA-01): PVI D+13, Obama 64% in 2012
Joe Kennedy (MA-04): PVI D+7, Obama 57% in 2012
Donald Norcorss (NJ-01): PVI D+12, Obama 64% in 2012
Joyce Beatty (OH-03): PVI D+17, Obama 70% in 2012
Betty McCollum (MN-04): PVI D+11, Obama 62% in 2012
John Delaney (MD-06): PVI D+4, Obama 55% in 2012
John Yarmuth (KY-06): PVI D+4, Obama 55% in 2012
Is this team made up of members from some of the bluest of blue districts really going to help the Democrats “connect with voters in the same way across the country,” as noted in the Politico piece? I think they’re all delusional.
