(Before It's News)

For some reason we have not known why U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown (FL-D) was being investigated by the federal government but now we do.

The feds are investigating her to see if she funneled money to a false educational charity.

The head of that group pled guilty to fraud last month in exchange for helping investigators in the case. It is not known if the grand jury currently meeting in Jacksonville is looking into it.

Even though Brown’s staff and attorneys told her not to talk to the media, it was hard for her to stay quiet when the Department of Justice, House Ethics Commission and federal grand jury are investigating her.

Brown said she believes there is a leak and one of the investigators are talking about it. She said:

You know I can’t talk about it, but I can tell you I am upset. I have talked to several people in the Jacksonville area that (know) there have been grand jury investigations. They have never read anything in the paper. They have not seen it on the news. So, even though I have not said anything about it, somebody is talking.

Brown also stated she is going to run for re-election that is if she does not go to jail first of course.
