The way business is conducted in America changed on November 8, 2016. The crony capitalism of the past will need to take a back seat to Donald Trump’s legacy.

Trump rampages openly as President-elect. Since he knows how politics played a role in his success, generally at the expense of taxpayers, his legacy will give back to the citizens.

In this respect, President Trump represents the worst-case scenario for crooked politicians, and unscrupulous businesses. Trump has become the insider who whistle-blows on his former partners in the legalized extortion we called business-as-usual.

If anybody knows the crooked side of business, a New York real-estate developer does. Corrupt politicians and unions, without even a point of demarcation to know which is which.

Now it’s payback time.

So when Trump was called out by the union boss Chuck Jones, president of the United Steelworkers Local 1999, for criticizing the Carrier deal, Trump struck back.

He tweeted:

“Chuck Jones, who is president of United Steelworkers 1999, has done a terrible job representing workers. No wonder companies flee country!”

Yet another sweet tweet from America’s number one “tweetologist.”

If we ever give out awards or titles for tweeting, Trump should get “Tweetmaster.” Because that, he is.

And the Left hates Trump for tweeting. Actually they hate him for being uncontrollable by the media.

By tweeting, Trump circumvents the lamestream fake news media, and puts people on blast. Tweets strike at the heart of the matter, going directly to the court of public opinion.

Further, tweets allow no time for media spin. Thus, Trump controls the media cycle. He sets the narratives.

The fact that Trump’s recent tweet hurt the union didn’t sit well with former Labor Secretary Robert Reich. He got upset by Trump for  what he called “lashing out” at Jones for criticizing the Carrier deal.

According to CNN, Reich commented,

“With all due respect, Mr. Trump, you are our President-elect of the United States…You are looking and acting as if you are mean and petty, thin-skinned and vindictive. Stop this. This is not a fireside chat.”

No Robert, it’s an internet chat. Actually it’s an internet chat, but it involves real life.
How does a union boss criticize a man for saving jobs?

Jones’ criticism rested with exactly how many jobs were actually saved. Jones contends that “only 800 jobs were saved,” and that Trump blew up the numbers.

800 or 1100, whichever the number, there are lots of happy people in Indianapolis.
What’s more likely happening is the union sees that Trump is dismantling them.

According to the Washington Post,

President-elect Donald Trump’s Twitter attack this week on a union official, followed by his choice of a labor secretary who has criticized new worker protections, has rattled leaders of the American labor movement, who fear unions may be facing their gravest crisis in decades.

On Thursday, Trump announced that he would nominate as his labor secretary Andrew Puzder, a fast-food executive who has opposed additional overtime pay for workers and expressed skepticism about increasing the minimum wage.

If Trump can save jobs that the union was all too happy to see go offshore, then who needs a union? If Trump can create good paying jobs, then who needs a union?

The union sees the writing on the wall, and so do many Americans.

Here’s how, you remind some Trump supporters that the recently prominently featured company or whatever that was supposed to keep jobs in america, cost american tax payers AND that that company’s CEO admitted it would actually result in more job losses and automation.

Despite the nice PR coverage it got Trump, of course.
