Geert Wilders Called ‘Horrible Pest, Egocentric and Aggressive’ – By Own Brother
Paul Wilders, the 62 year-old older brother of Dutch Party for Freedom pol Geert Wilders, 53, took to Twitter to slam his bro for his hard-right political views and for inciting hatred and violence.
Wilders, who’s been living in hiding for years because of his true-to-life views on radical Islam and the threats he and his family face near-daily, suspended his prime minister campaign just a few days ago due to security leaks.
As the Express reported:
“[The leak] came after Dutch media reported that a member of the far-right politican’s police security team had been arrested on suspicion of leaking details about his location to a Dutch-Moroccan gang.
“He is tipped as one of the country’s front runners and is slightly ahead of incumbent Prime Minister Mark Rutte in the polls.”
But now, Wilders’ brother, Paul, an IT professional, just stepped from the shadows to slam his brother on social media, and in an interview with Spiegel Online.

“[Paul Wilders] recently took to Twitter to criticise his brother for inciting racial hatred in the wake of the Berlin terror attack.
“He also paints a picture of a man who is isolated, hateful and alone most of the time.
“In an interview with Spiegel Online, Paul Wilders said: ‘After the Berlin terrorist attack, Geert sent out a photo montage showing [German Chancellor] Angela Merkel with blood on her hands. It crossed a line.
“‘This is no longer political criticism. It spreads hate. My brother knows that some of his supporters take his messages literally, and that they use Facebook to call for acts of violence. Geert doesn’t want violence, and yet he accepts the potential consequences of such messages.’ …
“Paul Wilders claims his brother lives in his own fanciful world and has little contact with voters or the Dutch public.
“He said: ‘Few politicians have as little contact with the people as Geert. He simply cannot go out into the street.
“‘He and his wife have been living in a secret location for 12 years, and they need permanent personal security. He has already received several serious death threats from Islamists.
“‘There is always security staff outside the door when he is in his apartment. He needs bodyguards when he goes shopping. They even attend our family events.
“‘Geert’s world has become very small. It consists of the parliament, public events and his apartment. He can hardly go anywhere else. He is socially isolated and alienated from everyday life. This isn’t good for anyone.’
“Paul Wilders said that Geert’s popularity is due to his mastery of communication.
“He describes how he creates national pride by attacking supposed enemies – like Muslims, migrants, the European Union, and the elite.
“He does this as the climate is rife with anger after a series of terror attacks worldwide. He compares his approach to that of popular French politician Marine Le Pen. But he says it’s dangerous as it whips up hysteria and anger.
“The politician’s sibling went on to condemn his promises to target Muslims – and said it was unrealistic that he would be able to close mosques and ban the Koran as it ‘violates the constitution.’
“Paul Wilders added that as a child his brother was a ‘horrible pest, egocentric and aggressive.’”
