Professor Calls for Another Middlebury College Incident to Stop Charles Murray From Being Heard
Charles Murray has one of the brightest and most independent minds out there. His book Coming Apart is especially recommended. Campus crybullies cannot tolerate his refusal to limit himself to the claustrophobia-inducing confines of doctrinaire political correctness. When he tried to speak at Middlebury College on March 2, they resorted to rioting to silence him, physically injuring Professor Allison Stanger, who was trying to get him safely back to his car. Not all professors are as willing to protect Murray and the right of others to hear him as Professor Stanger. Barks a professor at Drexel University:

Murray was invited to Villanova University by the Ryan Center, which is concerned with promoting civil, economic, and financial liberty; federalism; and the American Constitution.
Drexel and Villanova are both in the Philadelphia area.
Professor Ciccariello-Maher defended his tweet to Campus Reform, calling Murray a “pseudoscientific racist” and arguing that Murray has “no place on a college campus” and that “no one is required to respect his views.”
The hysterical determination to prevent Murray from being heard largely stems from his coauthorship over 20 years ago of The Bell Curve (also highly recommended), which confirms that 2 + 2 = 4 on issues of race and IQ.
Unable to dispute Murray’s conclusions, leftists have been shrieking for years that he must be silenced, lest his insights cause the collapse of their entire ideology by confirming that the shortcomings of some racial groups are not attributable to the “racism” of others.
Speaking of racism, when last we encountered Professor Ciccariello-Maher, he was sharing with us his short Christmas wish list:
“All I Want for Christmas is White Genocide.”
He had previously praised a massacre in Haiti during which 4,000 whites were killed, laying the groundwork for the marvelous utopia we see in Haiti today. “Abolish the White Race!” is another thought-provoking Ciccariello-Maher quote.
The belief that militant antiracists consist mainly of twisted lunatics consumed by their hatred of whites finds support in the existence of specimens like Ciccariello-Maher.
Here’s how the nutty professor justifies his barely veiled call for violence to stop Murray from speaking:
“The theories put forward by Charles Murray…are violent theories that encourage violent harassment and action,” he responded. “I think those deemed unfit by Murray—people of color and women in particular—are under no obligation to be polite about it. Charles Murray is not a victim.”
Like most campus leftists, he deliberately conflates physical violence with the “violence” of liberals having their dogma challenged.
If this totalitarian creep belongs on a college campus, then he’s right: Charles Murray doesn’t.
BTW, Murray’s lecture at Villanova will explore “What Does Trumpism Mean for Liberty in the Long Run?” Murray did not endorse Trump during the election, holding the following view:
Clinton may be unfit to be president, but she’s unfit within normal parameters. Donald Trump is unfit outside normal parameters.
But you couldn’t expect Ciccariello-Maher to know this or even to care. Murray is a thought criminal, and thought criminals must be silenced by whatever means necessary.
