If Dolezal, excuse me Diallo can no longer pass for black on looks, maybe she can on paper. The former NAACP president who lied about being black more readily casts herself as a victim than a skin color.

DolezalThe Trans-Racial Delusion

Rachel Dolezal was a blue-eyed blonde-haired Caucasian at birth. But for more than 6 years, she lived as a black woman complete with a faux tan and faux ‘fro. She repeatedly lied about being the victim of “hate crimes” over the years. When pressed, Dolezal failed to produce evidence to substantiate her claims.

Then her parents outed her as white in 2015. She swiftly lost her positions and credibility.

Now, the self-identified “trans-racial” woman is a laughing stock and cannot find work, as previously reported. What better time to write a book and try to sell it? Thirty publishers refused Dolezal’s kryptonite, but it will come out next month anyway.

To generate interest, the white girl, formerly known as black became the Nigerian woman formerly known as American. In a bid to make a living, victim Dolezal legally changed her name in October to Nkechi Amare Diallo.

Reinventing Victimhood

Nkechi is short for Nkechinyere. The name originates from the Igbo language of Nigeria and means ‘gift of god.’ Diallo means ‘bold,’ and derives from the Fula people – a Muslim ethnic group with roots in North Africa. That’s beautiful. Truly. But why?

Shortly after changing her name, “Diallo” tried to drum up some positive attention for her upcoming book release. She initiated a change.org petition to get one of her controversial speeches from April 2016 posted on TEDx.

“Rachel Dolezal’s TEDx Talk on Race & Identity…is still not available online. Please post her talk online immediately. She should not be censored due to her unique perspective. We want to watch this speech!”

Obtaining less than one-third of the required signatures, TEDx grudgingly posted the video on November 2, with a long disclaimer.

“Now that the talk has been recorded, refusing to post it would unduly limit an important conversation about identity, and the social underpinning of race – and would be counter to TED’s guiding philosophy of radical openness.”

Dolezal BookGod bless American capitalism. You can be whatever you can dream; from con artist, to race-baiting victim. Reinvention never looked so pathetic.

Dolezal even got her old pals at the NAACP to issue a statement on her behalf, so the trans-racist could sell her book. Dolezal maintains that race should be a fluid concept. But her statements sound more like a how-to-be-a-victim manual.

“As long as I can remember, I saw myself as black. I was socially conditioned to discard that. There’s no protected class for me. I’m this generic, ambiguous scapegoat for white people to call me a race traitor and take out their hostility on. And I’m a target for anger and pain about white people from the black community. It’s like I am the worst of all these worlds.”

Good grief. Could she sound any more pathetic? Dolezal hasn’t discovered a new frontier of alt-racial identity that makes her uniquely relevant. She’s ensconced in playing a victim. She quite simply wants attention. The only question is what form her victimhood will take next.
