Over the weekend, Trump fans throughout the country rallied to show that many people still support the guy they elected president just a few months ago, even if you wouldn’t know it from most media coverage. Moonbats were ready for them:
A pro-Trump rally in downtown Berkeley, one of many held across the nation on Saturday, erupted into fist fights and scuffles. …
A total of 10 people were arrested, including five for battery, four for assault with a deadly weapon and one for resisting arrest. Police reported items confiscated among the combatants were: “metal pipes, bats, 2x4s and pieces of wood. A group with bricks was detained, and their bricks confiscated.”
Some anti-Trump protesters threw things at Trump supporters. Berkeley police made occasional forays into the crowd, but mostly held back.
Protesters spilled out into Martin Luther King Junior Way and were fighting in the middle of the street, and there were people punching each other on the sidewalks. Some people had bloody faces. One pro-Trump supporter was apparently sprayed in the face with Mace.
Nice work, antifa fascists:

It wasn’t just Berserkeley. For example:
Six people protesting a rally in St. Paul, Minnesota, were arrested on felony riot charges after they lit fireworks inside the Minnesota State Capitol and fled, police said. About 400 people attended the St. Paul event, and about 50 showed up to protest it. …
In Nashville, two people were arrested as protesters clashed with Trump supporters at the Tennessee Capitol. The groups at times cursed at each other and made physical contact, which state troopers broke up, WPLN reported.
Daily Wire notes that black bloc anarchists will get the blame for the mayhem. No doubt they deserve most of it. But the Left in general has been fostering a climate conducive to political violence. Watch former Attorney General Loretta Lynch splash gasoline on the flames:
Key quote:
“They’ve marched. They’ve bled. Yes, some of them died. This is hard. Every good thing is. We have done this before. We can do this again.”
If the escalation continues, this kind of rhetoric could get people senselessly killed. It could also elicit an overreaction, so that the shrill screams about rights being assailed become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
That sign said “Free Speech”. Counter protesters stole and said 'hate speech is not free speech'. pic.twitter.com/tDTWBrPGHD
