Hat tip Daily Wire

Last night President Trump gave in my estimation the best speech of his political career. He used the .teleprompter; it was strong; and it wasn’t your usual laundry list of issues few care about. To be sure, most (but not all) of the liberal pundits at CNN and MSNBC nit-picked it to death. Chuck Schumer lamely stated that Trump’s actions don’t match his words and the former governor of Kentucky, whose name nobody will recall, gave a perfectly lame response. In short, Trump hit a home run, and his opponents said the wind was blowing out.

The most emotional point in the evening was when Trump introduced, Carryn Owens, the widow of slain Navy Seal William “Ryan” Owens, who was killed during a raid on a terrorist camp in Yemen. It was the longest standing ovation in memory. Yet, incredibility, several Democrats, after initially standing, sat back down as the second (and longest) applause was on-going. Most prominent among them were Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, Keith Ellison and Nancy Pelosi.

I realize that applause is partisan at these speeches, and I recall when a Republican congressman shouted, “You lie,” at President Obama. I am not excusing that. This, however, was an incredible display of just how far to the extreme left the Democrats have gone.

Last night, President Trump came off as presidential. In additional He clearly reminded us that he is a nationalist, and that nation is America. What nation the Democrats represent is any body’s guess.
