(Before It's News)

The stranglehold he had over the US Senate was something to watch. He withheld bills and budgets from being considered on the Senate floor. As a result he alienated voters who, tired of the shifty machinations of Reid, Obama, and Jarrett, threw the bums out in 2010, 2014, and 2016.

One of Reid’s biggest legacies was his misuse – but establishment – of the ‘Nuclear Option’. He found a way to change the rules of the Senate so he could pass something he wanted with a simple majority rather than the 60% majority the rules called for. He cheated when he did it but he got what he wanted.

Now he knows the total price of his action. Republicans are in control of both the House and the Senate and we have a Republican President. He is still in the first quarter of the first year of his Presidency. Freedom Works notes:

“Gorsuch Confirmation: This Will Work Next Time Too”

FreedomWorks president Adam Brandon made the following statement following the Senate’s confirmation of Judge Neil Gorsuch: “In a rare moment of courage and commitment to a conservative cause, the Senate has won a victory that will help preserve the Constitution, probably for decades to come.”

Yep. Old Harry was rather short-sighted. He got his victory but Democrats will lose more than his scheme gained.
