Appearing on ABC’s “This Week” with George Stephanopoulos, Florida Senator Marco Rubio discussed the recent meeting Secretary of State Tillerson had with Mexico’s foreign minister.
Secretary Tillerson’s said that in his meeting with the foreign minister, the issue of building southern border wall and having Mexico pay for it didn’t even come up.
Rubio stated that he also met with the foreign minister and the issue did come up for discussion in their meeting.

Rubio also said that there was a lot of things both governments could work on together and that Mexico seemed willing to renegotiate “key points” within NAFTA.
Rubio, who feels “positive” about what the U.S. and Mexico relationship, added that Mexico has expressed deep interested in what is happening along their southern border, and cracking stemming the tide of illegal immigrants flowing through from central America.
