The interactive map below offers up an unstable and frightening look at health care insurance through the eyes of the Republican Party, what is now known as TrumpCare.
Younger and older Americans get clobbered, in some states and in some counties, especially when adjusted for income. The thing is, all of us at one time or another could find ourselves falling into one of these costly categories, disrupting our lives and wiping out our life savings. And the credits below are opposed by a growing list of Republicans who want a completely free market system with no public support at all.
It would be the only free market system in the world, in one of the biggest countries in the world. It would be system based on the false premise that health care is a consumer product. Big mistake:
