(Before It's News)

We can't afford dirty water. Tell your Senators where you stand.

Later on today, the U.S. Senate will be voting on a number of amendments to the Senate Budget resolution that are designed to weaken the government’s ability to protect our nation’s waterways.

Please contact your Senators today and ask them to stand up for clean water.

Amendments that are being discussed include measures to limit the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s ability to:

  • Issue a strong final rules on coal ash, a waste product of burning coal known to be polluting water across the nation with toxic heavy metals
  • Ensure states are implementing and improving Clean Water Act water quality standards
  • Restore critical Clean Water Act protections to streams, wetlands and drinking water standards
  • Please use the form below to contact your Senators and let them know that we need to preserve our national commitment to clean water.
