UFO Dropping Orbs In California?

A strange ball of light was recorded hovering and droppingmultiple lights in Escondido, California USA on May 1st 2012 at night. At first the object looks very similar to how a chinese lantern is seen from that distance, but then it starts to drop lights to the ground, something characteristic of what we consider “real UFO sightings” although this behaviour is sometimes recreated in some hoaxes. We thought it could be a chinese lantern on fire, maybe dropping down burning parts of it. But watching videos of that we notice the lanterns are consumed by fire really fast and in a matter of seconds they loose stabilization and fall down. So we are not clear about this one yet… what do you think?
