The Devil You Claim To Know

THE DEVIL YOU CLAIM TO KNOW

There’s nothing like an election in the United States. The wall to wall coverage, the dead heat projections, the nightmare of seeing Karl Rove eat up the scenery and how it always tends to show the utter fraudulence of the democratic system. A system that is proud of its stance on electing the best of two evils or the devil we know.

Ironically, the devil we elected at the last minute wanted the vote to be a vengeful message. What vengeance it was. A vote that was made like an executioner beheads the condemned. It was a poetic grimoire that is so American, we are now asked to do things for revenge and not for anything else. We have been so victimized that the whole idea of a vengeful vote is accepted from a devil we think we know.

During the coverage of the elections I was watching the entitlement class dance and rejoice as Barack Obama was given another 4 more years to demonstrate that he is more than just hope, more than just propaganda slogans of prosperity. Looking over the faces of the crowds gathering in Chicago, I couldn’t help but wonder if in the moment anyone could somehow get past their satisfaction of being on the winning team to understand that no matter how wonderful it felt to elect the better of the evils, there is still that dark and foreboding future that neither Mitt Romney or Barack Obama will be able to protect us from.

I know that this type of talk gets you labeled a doomsayer or fear monger but there is a dark spiritual conjuring taking place where we will soon be reminded in the future of how fragile our way of life truly is and how democracy can be taken from us almost overnight.

I can’t put my finger on what exactly will trigger the chaos, but now more than ever there is a coup to crush the sense of entitlement and ignorance that comes in Barack Obama’s America and the veneer that he so professionally shines up every time he smiles and waves at his adoring disciples.

History is cyclical and we’ve entered the most dangerous season, when the choices we make as a nation will have profound long lasting implications to the lives of future unborn generations.

I recently asked the question of my audience wondering if what we are experiencing is “normal” and the reality seemed to be that no one can even remember where “normalcy” ceased to exist and how we were slowly being conditioned into accepting a country that rids itself of due process and fiscal accountability.

Americans have been so gradually programmed into acceptance of all sorts of militant solutions that the idea of striking violently is the only alternative to being ignored, betrayed and left without hope.

When Americans are told that what they do doesn’t measure up and all of the hard work they do gets no reward, they realize that the only thing they can do well enough is to die trying to reach an unfulfilled need or want.

Propaganda and media spin cannot avert the brutally hard choices that must be made over the next 10 to fifteen years. We are now hearing from all sides in the alternative media that the existing system is unsustainable.

This existing system took years to sabotage and was an inside job. It was quite simply the premeditated crisis, a controlled demolition that had an ongoing ripple effect.

There have been many Americans dodging the various bullets. However, no American is completely bulletproof and no one is iron clad and capable of withstanding the emotional upheaval involved with the witnessing of a cessation of what can be determined to be the American “norm.”

Chaos is the new normal, reluctance is the new safe decision, silence has been acceptance and ennui is a word we can blow the dust off of and use again, that is if we are motivated enough to try and understand what the word means.

After the 2012 election we saw the evidence that the programming had worked and that Americans are no longer passionate as everything is nearly a 50/50 split. We are now left and right, black and white. There is no extended middle or any tolerance for those who wish to remain in the margins.

Remaining in a box and creating parameters that are finite, limit the progress of all things that exist in an infinite universe. Americans are now satisfied with these half and half outcomes.

It is no longer revolutionary to talk about revolution. It is only fashionable to fantasize about being militant and unreasonable. All of this behavior can be seen in social networks and Twitter accounts where armchair warriors put down their game controllers to take some time to bully someone with a revolutionary thought or positive axiom.

Just last night I got in a small argument with a caller about healthcare and how she was so happy that Obama will provide us all with free health care. I tried to tell her that she was wrong about what Obama care would provide or not provide.

She told me that I was wrong and I realized that at that moment, I sounded like a right wing ogre trying to dash her hopes. How could I question her President? How could I question her faith in the idea that he would keep the vampires away?

I realized that the debate about what government will do or not for us will end in vitriolic passion that will get me e-mails saying I am a bully who hates to listen to differing views, but lest face it we are now in that 50/50 split where we are either the brainwashed masses or the brainwashed masses.

I hope America is happy with their achievement in rigidity for each part of that half and half team participation. We are equally divided in our various beliefs and programming.

The nonexistent middle will have to struggle to make their revolutionary views part of the mainstream mediocrity.

Americans seem to be comfortable with the thought that the government has already assumed a greater level of power and control over our lives. The majority believe that government can protect them, provide for them, and pay their way. This is a delusion which will be revealed as fraudulent and there will be anger and confusion that comes with being snared like a rat in a trap.

We are not even close to finding our civic purpose, nor have we found our fellow Americans at a point of rock bottom where that civic purpose has to harden.

All we know is that a lot of Americans are hungry, displaced, disenfranchised and somehow have decided that the only way to survive is to make their various deals with the devil they claim to know.

The devil we all claim to know and the one that we have voted for smiles at a people that he realizes are becoming more and more cynical and whose souls are darkening as the new millennium breaks the character of those who thought they could hold on to the morality that became ancient history after the coercion of media spin and indoctrination.

The vice on most of America now is tightening and there are people; both in government and in religious circles that are capable of using the destructive group dynamic to squeeze out of every American more work, less pay and less time with families. The result will be more broken homes, more unfulfilled dreams and more hope for a lucky break.

Meanwhile you can look into the eyes of the majority of Americans and see anger boiling beneath the surface of a façade of everything is fine, everything will work itself out on its own. However it never works itself out on its own and there is seldom anyone that will bail you out of the self imposed prison we have created.

I don’t care what the Obama supporters say about what a great day it is now that he remains in office – The system is broken, he can’t fix it and our 50/50 mediocrity will keep us grounded until it is discovered that no matter who sits in the throne room of the White house, there are so many unfulfilled promises that have been made by the devils we think we know that exacerbates the anger and disappointment in the consensus.

There is little or no common ground. It is all split, divided and proportioned for the benefit of the 1%.

People laugh at a compromise. They identify themselves with a political party like they would with their college football teams. They remain loyal no matter how badly they play and no matter how silly it is to hold out for hope in something that only thrills for a few hours.

The grim reality is that after the confetti is swept up and the cheerleaders go home, America will awaken to a morning that feels like a cold midnight in a nightmare of having to ignore their anxiety attacks or medicate them as they find themselves getting older and more exhausted.

Now the Devil we think we know will have no choice but to allow the downward spiral of societal mistrust take hold so that someone will fire the first shot in the civil unrest that will most likely erupt in the not too distant future.

This is why draconian laws have been passed without debate. Executive orders have been signed without question and everyone has the opinion that all of the kill lists are meant for people that the power elite know are dangerous to our well-being.

When have we ever been so trusting of the devil we think we know? Perhaps the 1% who feels they are unfairly being left in the dumpsters should realize the awful truth that the “99%” they are fighting are actually hoping that the protests continue so they can justify the financing of the police state. This way, even more freedom can be taken away because of the demand of those who really don’t care about where we all end up.

I wonder if the so called 99% forget that this system has conveniently programmed us into accepting the idea that during the times of elections one individual takes precedence over the many. Americans participate into an illusion where the puppet masters hand picks someone who by some stroke of luck became part of the intelligence family or has a fortune that he either inherited or somehow received.

Just because of his position, we eagerly throw millions of dollars in endorsements his way, and he gives us platitudes that evidently are working because during an election the devil we think we know has sold us on the idea of Heaven even though we have already conceded that he is a devil we know ruling in a sort of hell that we feel we deserve.

After the election we can now concede that we don’t like opposing devils, it seems we appease them. Dissent is always silenced by those who feel they never had it so good, or from those who are offended that their hypnotic trigger phrases no longer have an effect on those who refuse to feed the beast of the oligarchy.

hmmm..i thought the banksters holding the country hostage were trying to install romney – one of their own.

yeah, i agree that the elections are a waste of time and energy, but the amount of money spent on social programs is only a minute percent of the amount being printed and handed over to banksters. let’s keep the criticism directed at the thieves of wall street and the central banksters.

is this a racial issue? is it okay for white folks to take trillions out of the economy and hide it n off-shore banks and investments? and an outrage to feed and provide healthcare and other public assistance to people whose lives have been ruined by wreckless economic sabotage by the central banksters?

i’d have agreed with this rant, if not for the perception of racism it expresses.
