Embracing The American Domination

EMBRACING THE AMERICAN DOMINATION

As I scan the news reports from the day to day drudgery of trying to ascertain the movements of government, I have been seeing words like “impending” and “possible” with regards to destabilization of government, economic crashes and societal collapse. Maybe the use of these terms is part of the easing of the populace into the despotic catastrophe that is occurring now. It is no longer is “impending”. It is no longer “possible.” The crisis is now, everything is possible and with a government run amok anything goes.

The controllers have continually extended the deadline of “all clear” in the media and are not too good at hiding that the collapse has begun. The symptoms that we are seeing are the class wars, the racial tension, the suicides, the drone debate and the bloodshed.

There seems to be a tendency in local news reports to have the anchors report to their respective audiences what seems to be a redundant laundry list of shootings, rapes and what appears to be a non-ceasing and mind-numbing cavalcade of crime in your own back yard.

Most criminal activity can be handled by an officer who is trained to investigate, take notes, form witnesses and in most cases apprehend a suspect. However, it has been increasingly evident that since the attacks on September 11th, 2001 we have witnessed the overt militarization of the police.

What is even more troubling is that policemen are being transformed into militarized soldiers and are being dispatched in full armor and with military machinery in many cases just to serve routine warrants to people they perceive to be a danger to the public.

Before the September 11th, 2001 attacks, the use of tactical teams like S.W.A.T or now S.E.R.T were rarely used. They were called in only in extremely dangerous situations where hostages are being held by armed individuals.

Today, armed tactical police officers that are indistinguishable from military soldiers are now being deployed for routine duties.

In a high percentage of the cases, the militarized teams forcefully enter the wrong address, resulting in death; injury and trauma to innocent people there are also cases of police officers being killed by other police officers in the confusion that is brought on by stun grenades.

Friendly fire in a police situation is just a reminder of how the United States is becoming a battlefield and how it is now considered the norm in a country that demands a government that eschews the standards of a constitution in favor of a lawless and predatory environment.

Today, 17,000 local police forces are equipped with military equipment like Blackhawk helicopters, machine guns, grenade launchers, battering rams, explosives, chemical sprays, body armor, night vision, rappelling gear and armored vehicles. Some have tanks.

Most Americans have a tendency to be in denial that what they are seeing is deep seeded trouble in their government. They seem to think that the undercurrent of oppression and social tension has a tendency to simmer down and go away. The tension seems to have been cultivated for years and now we are beginning to see it explode in various areas in the United States. People can remain oblivious to these so-called isolated incidents but it must be pointed out that this country has gradually embraced the idea that brutal force and action has to always be used in cases of criminal activity.

We are no longer satisfied with constitutional guarantee of due process and it is really terrifying that we even need to have a debate over whether or not the President has the power to order the deaths of American citizens, and the uses of militarized drones in order to carry out the procedure of executing perceived threats without trials.

It seems that the public has the tendency to cheer on a militarized brutality against an accused criminal in the public forum. It is also unfortunate that most cases of brutal treatment against citizens from a militarized police is actually the result of paid informants that provide erroneous information in the first place.

This poses a danger to safety and liberty. The militarized policing of the United States have resulted in innocent people defending themselves only to be out gunned and shot down by the police.

It seems that in what appear to be combat style situations that there is a tendency to escalate the situation rather than to de-escalate a situation.

The mind set is to take out or kill the suspect. This has resulted in many deaths at the hands of officers and the abuse of the system by individuals who wish to commit suicide by cop.

It is important to point out that research is suggesting that the police sates in America is very real and that the police are an intimidating element in our lives. In America, police raids where tactical teams are called were just a few hundred per year in the 1970s, to a few thousand by the early 1980s, to around 50,000 by the mid-2000s.

There are also citizen’s reports in places like Philadelphia, and New York who have spotted police officers in militarized tactical gear being known to show up at supermarkets to interrogate shoplifters and multiple officers in riot gear to arrest drunk drivers. There are also police summer camps where for just under 3000 dollars you can enroll your teenager into a militarized training course to help in the fight against drugs and terrorism.

There is absolutely nothing subtle about militarizing the local police now. Everything that has been considered a conspiracy theory is now seeing the light of day.

Back in the days of the Cold War the media portrayed the USSR as a policed and militarized gulag, with soldiers tending to police duties, and murdering people in the streets with machine guns. The irony now is that the leader of Russia, Putin, has declared that the United States is not as free as they think and that Russia is far more democratic.

It is interesting to point out that the These types of rankings have triggered the interest of the American Civil Liberties Union who is now launching a Nationwide Police Militarization investigation.

ACLU affiliates in 23 states are sending open records requests to hundreds of state and local police agencies requesting information about their SWAT or SERT teams, such as how often and for what reasons they’re deployed, what types of weapons they use, how often citizens are injured during SWAT or SERT raids, and how they’re funded. More affiliates may join the effort in the coming weeks.

Additionally, the affiliates will ask for information about drones, GPS tracking devices, how much military equipment the police agencies have obtained through programs run through the Pentagon and the Department of Homeland Security, and how often and for what purpose state National Guards are participating in enforcement of drug laws.

The ACLU, as well as other groups, are concerned that while posse comitatus has not been overturned, the tactical police officers are overused and are the reason why many Americans are killed without due process. The original purpose of tactical officers was to respond to riots, barricades, shootouts, or hostage-takings with more skill and precision than everyday patrol officers.

However, the tactical aspect of law enforcement seems to be out of control because of the ever present conditioning of the terrorist threat and Homeland security’s paranoid edicts that put in the cross hairs war veterans, religious fanatics, constitutionalists, doomsday preppers just about anyone who speaks out against the current administration.

The facts about the police enforcement overkill of tactical and militarized raids include that there are arrests made in less than half the raids. Most of the suspects wind up killed and never get a fair trial. In most cases, no one knows what criteria police are using when they decide to conduct a raid. There’s no transparency, there’s no oversight.

Most of the time raids such as these terrify neighborhoods, cause property damage, and more times than not put innocent people at risk which serves no purpose other than to create a war zone where a war zone in unwarranted.

This is unfortunately a sign that we are edging towards a modern despotism.

Despotism and the police state that comes with it is so alien to the American mind that we foolishly believe we have banned it and outgrown it, and that, like slavery, horse-drawn carriages and smallpox, it is a forgotten relic of the distant past never to be seen again.

But though it is contrary to our national mythology to say so, despotism is everywhere in human relations, if not uniform. It can appear in the workplace, in relationships and in family situations. We are so used to it than when it appears in our government we tend to accept it as a “necessary evil.” However, allowing it to continue creates a whole group of problems. Many of them are now appearing in the mainstream. The inaction of the people is unprecedented.

I believe that much of the inaction is based on the fact that no one sees the police state or they are convinced that it can’t happen during a time where a “progressive” president is handling American affairs.

There has been much debate about whether or not there is a conspiracy to keep things progressing towards a police state here in the United States.

The idea has taken a backseat lately because in Obama’s America many people are too brainwashed to believe that the beast wearing the jackboot has been planted firmly in the grave.

While the eyes of a fascist police state are very keen, the eyes of America have dimmed and we are suffering from a form of facio-myopathy, a condition where the muscles of our eyes heart and mind have softened to the point of not caring.

There is also a problem with people and their ability to judge character. Americans have become shallow and tend to base class and success on money and looks. They have what are known as “image and action parameters” that determine whether or not we are in a Democracy or a police state. We all have an image of Dictators and the horrible things they have done.

The problem that faces us is not the outward face of tyranny. But the subtlety of it and how people ignore it because it is not obvious to them. We have all been duped into believing in the smooth pabulum that has been created by consultants, ad agencies and spin doctors that downplay and belittle the reality of tyranny.

They blind side the public with issues like abortion, immigration, and global warming. Things like constitutional rights are no longer important to the average American citizen. Fear has determined that the constitution is a worn out document that is a death sentence. The American sphere of ignorance remains and the popular form of attitude is based on precautionary moods and potentiality.

Now the use of military drones in criminal situations will be abused as well and will once again demonstrate the technological terror that our government likes to wield like cudgel to anyone who wants to protest their pathological power trip.

It is now “defined policy” that the U.S. government can murder its own citizens. This execution would be based solely on assumption that the citizen is a threat to national security. This would be carried out with no arrest, or trial, or conviction, just execution on suspicion only.

Plain and simple the police state has now advanced to policies that are similar to Stalin’s Russia. The executive branch has assumed the right to murder Americans who it deems a “threat.”

This is what goes on during a police state. If this is your first one – then I welcome you.
