Alleged Meteor Spotted In Night Sky in England and Wales

Yet again, more bizarre objects have been witnessed over the UK. The BBC reported on the following story.

Many people have reported seeing an intense light flashing through the UK sky. This was believed (by some) to be a meteor, although so far this claim has not been substantiated.

Sightings of the heavenly body were reported on Twitter in areas such as Cornwall, Hampshire, Lancashire, south Wales and also Worcestershire. One scientist apparently claimed it could have been a “random small piece of rock, probably from the asteroid belt”. Such claims are similar to the previous allegations made when UFOs shot over the UK during spring and autumn equinox periods. I reported upon these at that period.

Was this a meteor, space debris, or something ‘else’, so far unidentified?

Moreover, what does the MoD have to say about such unknown entities flying through our sovereign air space?

Was it perhaps tracked on radar? Have they any conceivable curiosity at all over this and if not why not…?
