New London Ledge Lighthouse Ghost

Ernie the ghost of a former lighthouse keeper has been haunting the New London Ledge Lighthouse for a number of years. The legend is that while he was alive that he took a large fishing knife and climbed to the top of the lighthouse. He cut his own throat and fell into the water below. His body was never recovered.
Over the years Ernie has almost continusly haunted the lighthouse and has scared the hell out of many people working in the lighthouse. It is said that at times the haunting has been so bad that people have tried to get the keeper boat to come for them in the middle of the night.
People have often told of seeing someone standing out on top of the lighthouse either near the edge of daylight or at the edge of dark. No one is at the lighthouse so it has to be the ghost of Ernie The Lighthouse Keeper that people are seeing.
