OWNING YOUR OWN DOOMSDAY
Today is the 19th anniversary of the first broadcast of Ground Zero in 1995. When I started the show my goal was to analyze and unearth the truth behind conspiracy theories and urban legends. I was also interested in paranormal activities and opening dialogue about objective observation with regards to topics that the mainstream media would water down and sanitize for government approval.
My experience was in network and regional news reporting, mostly criminal law stories and court room proceedings. I attended a reporter’s boot camp in Atlanta, Georgia in order to be a regional CNN reporter and I also worked for various news organizations reporting what can be called mainstream or general reporting.
I suddenly realized that I was becoming a loose cannon in the news room, uncovering all kinds of scandalous activities going on in government. I was mostly concerned with how our government would use children as tools for pushing agendas and how many powerful men in politics saw people as resources and pawns and how easy it was for them to use the media as a public relations tool and how the media was evolving and becoming more enamored with the relationships being made with government officials.
I became confused about my role as a reporter. I was always in the old school mentality of exposing corruption and revealing the underhanded activities that went on at the public expense.
However I was being asked by the news organizations I would work for to go easy on the government officials. I became resentful of the ass-kissing that I was asked to do and with my righteous anger chose to do ‘Ground Zero’ instead of remaining in a situation where I couldn’t live with myself.
Sometimes it is important to escape from a trap while you still have a soul to put back together.
‘Ground Zero’ gave me the opportunity to be the radio personality I always wanted to be. I wanted to emulate some of the greatest personalities that ever graced the radio. In my radio career I had plenty of time before I did Ground Zero to find my place on the radio and – somewhere between Edward R. Murrow, Orson Welles, Rod Serling, Long John Nebbel and Wolfman Jack – you find me and who I have become on the radio.
What you hear when I open the microphone is a combination of a young man who grew up as a dispensationalist Christian, influenced by conversations he heard at the local barber shop, reporting about all of the pessimistic, cynical, and corrupt things of the world, while knowing that if we can just find the truth we can go back to being honest and optimistic Americans.
I once told a reporter that while I may talk about all of the situations leading to a doomsday, I certainly want to fight like hell to avoid it. I called that doomsday ‘Ground Zero’. It was the name I gave my show after calling it ‘KULT Radio’, which really did not go over well in Utah where I grew up.
Ground Zero was pretty much fitting as I grew up in an area where the MX nuclear missile was being made, and my mother and her family were subjected to the nuclear testing that happened in the Nevada desert. Both my grandfather’s worked on nuclear bombs for the government and both died young because of maladies they suffered after being exposed to nuclear radiation.
Days after I chose ‘Ground Zero’ as the name for my show, the Oklahoma City bombing happened. After the blast, they called the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, “ground zero.” I was asked if I would change the name. I told management that I wouldn’t change the name because it is a term that is used to describe a starting point for understanding. Ground Zero has always been the starting point after any and all destruction. From destruction comes a rebuilding, and an understanding afterwards.
I said that this is what I will always do on my show from then on and I have done my best to do this for 19 years. It is unfortunate that the name ‘Ground Zero’ has also been given to the area where the World Trade Center was destroyed and, after 9/11, I was cancelled nationally. I kept the name when I did my local broadcasting in Portland, Oregon and I still have it now that I have been given the opportunity to broadcast nationally thanks to Premiere Radio Networks and Alpha Broadcasting.
We have to understand that for as long as we have out of control government and corrupt individuals fighting for control of the planet, there will be many times where we will hear the loud speaker speak up and say “Give up!” and that we have achieved “Ground Zero.”
There have been countless times after 9/11 that we have been living a in a shadow of death and doomsday. Threats of unknown origin have now plagued us and have been seen as portents to an apocalypse of our own design.
Yet for many people there are no goals being made, no plans to be carried out and no ambition that will be awarded. For some of us life is here but hope is gone. We have been programmed to believe that there is a shadow vexing us and so we go about our day to day lives with a mark on our spirit that can keep us from thinking about a future that has promise and fulfillment.
It is almost as if we are all drunk with the spirit of dread.
This was illustrated in the time leading up to the Mayan doomsday date of December 21, 2012. For my own part, I was never in the “doomsday” mindset for the end of the Mayan calendar – even though I was interviewing many people about their own doomsday dates.
I even interviewed the assistant of doomsday prophet Harold Camping, Gunther von Harringa, in order to understand why a group of followers were convinced the world was going to end on May 21st, 2011. Harold Camping has since passed away and the world is barely holding together.
It hasn’t ended yet, but now in the face of all things ironic, the very government organizations and think tanks that told us that the whole “end of the world” warnings were bunk are now resorting to the same “end of the world” dialogue that they laughed at years before.
This week, the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is releasing its latest report, the “Working Group II Contribution to the Fifth Assessment Report.” The report reads like a doomsday cult manifesto predicting apocalyptic consequences if mankind fails to give the UN the power to tax and regulate fossil fuels and subsidize and mandate the use of alternative fuels.
The Associated Press reported that “Top scientists are saying that climate change will complicate and worsen existing global security problems, such as civil wars, strife between nations and refugees.” The fight for world resources will develop into resource wars that sound very much like a Hollywood script that is similar to ‘Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome‘.
For years, the topics that we have covered on ‘Ground Zero’ have surrounded the doomsday dialogue and while preppers would prep and Bible thumpers would thump, governments would scramble to deny the very idea of an end-of-the-world scenario.
Now they are using it as their last ditch effort to milk us all for money so that they can conjure some miracle to keep us from being swallowed up into the abyss of apocalyptic hell.
Now this brings up a unique question: Who truly owns the dialogue about doomsday? Do we leave it up to the churches to drive home the eschaton that has been spoken of for two thousand years?
Do we listen to the doomsday cultists that believe that it is better to sacrifice yourself for the greater good and survival of man in these times of revelation? Or do we now believe a government that for 30 years has warned us of environmental collapse and has decided now to give us the dark-and-foreboding extinction protocol in order for us to fearfully hand over our money so that they can save the planet through geoengineering?
The truth is that they most likely will not help the planet at all. The politics of pseudo science is now going the route of doomsday cult preachers and the fear I have is that they will win as we go from America to ‘Americult‘.
For example the associated press has quoted several scientists on the UN panel that speak as if there is no hope for humanity unless we follow the advice of the United Nations and their guidelines to combat global warming.
First we hear from the Obama White House, where Secretary of State John Kerry has heeded the charge by saying, “the costs of inaction are catastrophic.”
Next, from the National Post, we get: “Rajendra Pachauri, chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change that issued the 32-volume, 2,610-page report here early Monday, told The Associated Press: “It is a call for action.” Without reductions in emissions, he said, impacts from warming “could get out of control.”
One of the study’s authors, Maarten van Aalst, a top official at the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, said, “If we don’t reduce greenhouse gases soon, risks will get out of hand. And the risks have already risen.”
Twenty-first century disasters such as killer heat waves in Europe, wildfires in the United States, droughts in Australia and deadly flooding in Mozambique, Thailand and Pakistan highlight how vulnerable humanity is to extreme weather, according to the report from the Nobel Prize-winning group of scientists. The dangers are going to worsen as the climate changes even more, the report’s authors said.”
The final words of Princeton University professor Michael Oppenheimer, succinctly tell us where we stand, “We’re all sitting ducks.”
As I have been reporting on the close calls the world has been having for the past 19 years, never in my life have I seen so much hysteria from a body that has literally been silent about worldwide apocalypse.
Now the apocalypse is their business and if the religious clerics and the cult doomsday prophets haven’t convinced you, Nobel Prize-winning scientists are now conspiring to tell you that yes the world is ending, that they own the antidote and that the only way to avoid it is to give them the ability to redistribute the wealth of the world.
The notion of world control is becoming so obvious now and the way they want to do it is the old tried and true way of scaring everyone into believing that they have no power at all and that the elite have some magic formula to tranquilize the environmental monster that they have taken years to construct and unleash.
I resent the fact that for the many times I have been called Chicken Little , the real foul has now taken over the United Nations and Obama and others have some imaginary ark that only those who pay up will be able to ride on when the flood of some environmental catastrophe or perceived extinction level comes to bare.
Isn’t this evidence that what we are witnessing from the climate change crowd is destructive group dynamics that are found in most destructive cults?
I mean we have Fukushima dumping plumes of radioactive water into the ocean right now. We have has close brushes with asteroids and space rocks, potentially hazardous objects. We have seen sun storm and CME’s threatening our planet at an alarming rate and yet the only issue they are concerned with is global climate change and they use it as an apocalyptic cudgel to rob us of our money in order to magically fix it?
How stupid do they think we are?
95 percent of our nuclear reactors are leaking. The Hanford site in Washington state has the potential to be our Fukushima here in the United States. They have contaminated the Gulf of Mexico with Corexit and allowed China to sell contaminated food all over the globe. They continue to look the other way when companies like Monsanto pollute our food supply with GMO’s and yet this is what they choose to use as the primary cause for a rapid extinction level event that needs taxes in order to be destroyed?
I want to really know how these so called authorities are going to save us from ourselves without killing us off? The truth is they can’t and that is the plan that they are secretly speaking about behind closed doors.
I mean let’s just get to brass tacks. All human and animal activity accounts for less than 4 percent of total annual global CO2 emissions. Perhaps it would be best that we tax the hell out of everyone and those who don’t pay don’t eat.
Now that sounds like a system that has been presented in the Book of the Apocalypse as the system of the beast. You would not be able to buy sell or trade without your little readable tattoo that states that you have paid your carbon taxes to the cult leaders in the U.N. that have been known to call all those who question their motives akin to Holocaust deniers and Flat Earth believers.
If we can go back to the times before the Holocaust, we can most certainly draw from an alleged crisis that was said to be just as important as global warming. It was a crisis where it was proposed that the gene poll faced deterioration if we allowed certain people to breed.
It had the support of some of the greatest scientists of the day.
It was also supported by President Woodrow Wilson and other notable dignitaries. It had the support and blessing of the Supreme Court. Margaret Sanger also said that something should be done in order to keep the human race from evolving into a group of imbeciles.
Like they did with global warming and climate change – and as Michael Cricton wrote in his article, “Why Politicized Science is Dangerous”, “Nobel Prize winners gave support. Research was backed by the Carnegie and Rockefeller Foundations.“
Important research on how to combat the crisis was also done at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford and Johns Hopkins. “Legislation to address the crisis was passed in states from New York to California.“
The result was the eugenics programs, its ideas were politically and scientifically backed by scientists and government groups.
It led to the sterilizations and deaths of millions of people.
This happened long before Hitler and his henchmen had the same ideas and marched the Jews, Slavs and the invalids to the gas chambers. He believed he was doing something that would benefit the planet and contribute to the blood and soil of his country.
Margaret Sanger was quoted as saying that “Fostering the good-for-nothing at the expense of the good is an extreme cruelty. There is not greater curse to posterity than that of bequeathing them an increasing population of imbeciles.”
It is this form of high mindedness that has generated the global warming, climate change cultists.
An abstract cause is now more powerful, than the humans it may hurt. Its doomsday warnings are mesmerizing and things like global sustainability are unpopular because they lead once again that someone or some group deemed unfit must be eliminated in order to avoid a doomsday.
I really don’t know if any of these sounds dangerous to you, but it is. We have been warned that conspiracy theories are dangerous. They are only dangerous if they are supported by governments and by globalists with agendas like the United Nations.
Science and politics are a bad combination and if you really want to see a doomsday scenario, they would be the first to carry it out, and they would do it in the best interest of the gods they worship.
I can only wonder what gods those are.
