Shrouded

SHROUDED

I find it odd that a lot of people find it blasphemous or even inappropriate to indicate that it appears highly probable that inhabitants of ancient cultures had encounters with technologically superior beings and that throughout time these encounters have been sanitized into becoming some unknown magical exercise.

The conversation about ancient aliens or an advanced civilization dealing with enlightened beings can eventually dovetail into arguments about fallen angels and how they are the aliens we hear about today.

Sometimes I wish there could be a cessation of biblical pigeonholing of the extra-terrestrial phenomenon and perhaps the scientific realities of such an idea could be discussed. However, the grim reality is that science is still baiting the subject without any bites and religion seems to be miles ahead in delivering the news that it is no longer the church’s policy to be so antiquated and geocentric.

Non siamo soli nell’Universo” is a phrase I immediately became familiar with just after Easter Sunday when it was reported in several Italian newspapers that the Pope made this statement during a homily just days after the Easter mass.

“Non siamo soli nell’Universo” may not have any impact on those who do not speak Italian, but to me, I picked up a bit of the language while in Argentina and realized that the Pope was quoted as saying “We are not alone in the universe.

The problem I faced as a reporter was that I could not confirm that the Pope has confirmed anything that important. Of course, there was all sorts of circumstantial activity pointing to the confirmation.

For years the Vatican has said that they are now interested in exploring the universe to find life out in space and it is no secret that the excitement will well-documented.

CatholicEducation.org writes in the article, ‘Alien Ideas Christianity and the Search for Extraterrestrial Life’:

Rev. George Coyne, director of the Vatican Astronomic Observatory, considers the possibility of extraterrestrials an “exciting prospect, which must be treated with caution…. The universe is so large that it would be folly to say that we are the exception.”

Rev. Christopher Corbally, S.J., another astronomer at the Vatican Observatory, believes that if we discover extraterrestrials, it will entail an expansion of our theology, for “while Christ is the First and the Last Word (the Alpha and the Omega) spoken to humanity, he is not necessarily the only word spoken to the whole universe.” …

Thomas O’Meara, O.P., professor of theology at Notre Dame, argues, “The history of sin and salvation recorded in the two testaments of the Bible is not a history of the universe; it is a particular religious history on one planet.” For O’Meara, “the central importance of Jesus for us does not necessarily imply anything about other races on other planets…. Believers must be prepared for a galactic horizon, even for further Incarnation.”

So this begs the question: Is this a gradual admission that the geocentric position of the church is now a thing of the past? Would a further incarnation mean that we will most definitely see the proof needed to open up to another doctrine, another dogma, and that this will be the next step in our ability to understand where we belong in the universe?

I have always said in many of my lectures that the alien question, when answered, will be the half-way point between religion and science. However, the trepidation of disclosure from science and from our government lends some cautionary thought to whether or not the idea of revelation would lead us into a long and gradual extinction level event.

We have been hearing about these doom events a lot longer than we can recall. Events that yield the same outcomes and that have been part of our cultural fears for thousands of years.

Events are happening around us that point to a kind of apocalypse where the literal meaning is actually happening and things that have usually carry the veneer of being “normal” have now turned paranormal and in some cases frightening and have caused us to become pensive about where we are in the universe.

When Pope Francis met with the Queen of England and Prince Phillip, there was a lot of speculation that he was urgently speaking with dignitaries like President Obama and others about a “grand transition.” It was believed to be a meeting to showcase the cosmic awakening to the reality of other civilizations.

When he posed for his publicity photos, he did so in front of a tapestry called the Abbracio Cosmico, or the “Cosmic Embrace.”

The tapestry is a remarkable representation of exotheistic transition and symbolizes the transcendence of being through what is known as the Grand Cardinal Cross. This was an alignment of planets that formed during Passover and eventually drifted apart last week.

The blue and brown angels are the guardians of the portal where both masculine and feminine unite in an embrace. The angels wings are pointing up and down. They are each holding a handle. One up, one down. The handles are literally opening up the portal to heaven. The portal opens for communication with the divine and the embrace that is meant to unite the creatures in the cosmos both male and female.

The idea of “on earth as it is in heaven” or “as above so below” is not lost on those who observe the tapestry. I have been obsessing over the meaning for some time because of what the Catholic Church has been indicating for many years about creation and how all things created are of God and should be accepted as such, including aliens.

Of course, not everyone shares the positive attitude about possible contact with beings outside of Earth. There are many who caution that beings from space will pose some definite threats to us psychologically and biologically, as well.

Our collective consciousness has been groomed to believe that we are a unique in the universe that we were in a way special. This makes us separate form all the other creatures, even those that we perceive to be out in the cosmos somewhere.

To learn that we are not unique, or that we are not advanced creates a sense of vulnerability. It can be argued that once we are found by other civilization in space we are signing our own extinction warrant.

As the Daily Mail reports, “A study by Professor Gabriel De la Torre from the University of Cádiz in Spain claims that we’re not ready to make first contact. He claims we’re not prepared mentally or ethically to meet beings unlike ourselves and we should try to improve our ‘global consciousness’…

SETI, the ‘Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence’, has fired off, as BreakingNews.ie reported, “[a] high-powered message…to the Gliese 581 system, a five-planet solar system 20 light-years away…due to arrive in 2029.

Gliese 581 has two planets in its “habitable zone”, an orbital region where temperatures are mild enough to allow liquid surface water and possibly life.

It has been criticised by some experts, including top British physicist Professor Stephen Hawking.

He warned of the consequences of revealing ourselves to technologically advanced beings who may not have our best interests at heart.

Meanwhile, despite what the scientists are warning, the Pope is undaunted.

As the Daily Beast reported, “Speaking on Monday during the homily at his daily morning Mass at the Casa Santa Marta inside Vatican City where he lives, he told his mostly clerical audience that they should keep an open mind to anyone—or anything—seeking God.

Then he used and unbelievable example:

“If—for example—tomorrow an expedition of Martians came, and some of them came to us, here… Martians, right? Green, with that long nose and big ears, just like children paint them… And one says, ‘But I want to be baptized!’ What would happen?” he asked parishioners. “When the Lord shows us the way, who are we to say, ‘No, Lord, it is not prudent! No, let’s do it this way…’””

Vatican Radio had to scramble and explain that the Holy Father’s sermon was about “inclusion.”

Yes, of course, it is all about inclusion and the Cosmic Embrace, inclusion on the grand scale, just like on that tapestry that was behind President’s and rulers during the informal Papal meetings. Those leaders probably got the same sermon except without all of the comic book explanations of sharp nosed big eared Martians.

History has shown that governments and religions would never surrender to a new idea or theory or even evidence that something is about to change their ability to wield power over their subjects?

If anything a government or even a religious body would try and find ways to make the aliens work for them or with them, and even now there are people who believe for centuries that the extra-terrestrials have been beneficial allies when it comes to revealing new technology and in some cases weaponry.

There are plenty of stories from the Bible and even from contemporary history where many instruments and tools have surfaced where it can only be determined that they were left behind by a highly advanced race or by ancient aliens.

Anomalies in space have always been exploited politically, religiously and you can also see meaning being projected into these events by astrologers and new age gurus. This is creating a bit of predictive programming where an alien invasion would be a self fulfilling prophecy.

Just declaring the aliens exist or delivering a full disclosure revelation will not get us off that easy.

While the alien question is somewhat shrouded in secrecy we can only imagine what these beings are. Whether they lurk in our nightmares, or are the new saviors we hope will deliver us from our horrible mistakes.

Either way, they guarantee the end of who we are and what we are now.

The alien reality has now been addressed in the Catholic Church. The reality of an alien arrival has been considered by the U.N. and other governments have spoken of collusion with aliens including the accusation that our government is working with a race of beings called “the tall Whites.”

Could this be the reason why it is offending the sensibilities of our gate keepers to keep the truth from us?

Beings that are reported to be watching us do not necessarily have to care for us. Our cosmic heritage has developed into religious linage. With this dogmatic perspective we deal with angels and demons and are told that God controls all of it. The reality may be far more complex and far more blasphemous than one wishes to contemplate.

People always say that it is arrogant to believe that we are the only intelligent life forms in the universe. It is equally arrogant to think that any life outside of Earth has any concern for our well-being. We want to believe that those “observers” who are out there want to befriend us, maybe even help us.

That is because we are faithful and we have been servitors for millennia to those that we believe observe us.

As a true Fortean observer, I can assure you that we are someone else’s property and even though I can be thrilled about the prospects of disclosure I can also tell you that it is also a very scary idea to remove all doubt about the idea that there could be or there is some sort of intrusion or infiltration going on.
