FORT COLLINS — The case of Stanley Romanek, a 51-year old Loveland man facing felony child exploitation charges, was continued again on Thursday.
Loveland police arrested Romanek Feb. 13 on suspicion of possession and distribution of child pornography.
The defense attorney requested a new competency evaluation be conducted by the Department of Human Services after having reviewed the evaluation from the psychologist hired by the Public Defender’s Office.
The judge accepted the request and ordered an evaluation to be conducted at the Colorado Mental Hospital in Pueblo on an out-patient basis.
Romanek will appear in court again Oct. 2 at 10:30 a.m.
