If anyone was to approach my desk they would find piles of books and many unopened envelopes sent from fans that want to ask me questions. I may not have time to write back to the people who write me, but I do open the envelopes and sometimes I wind up with a letter that I can’t put down.
Today was one of those days where a pile of mail was on my desk and I had meetings and production to finish before I even attempted to put together the radio show. I waited at my desk for a few minutes and decided to rifle through some of the letters. One of the envelopes said on the front “Read this Now!” I figured if there was urgency for me to pick it up it was either a letter from someone who wants me to read about the virues of hemp oil or perhaps there would be a check with several zeroes behind it telling me that my dreams had come true.
Needless to say that letter was about neither; however the letter was very valuable because of the story that was attached to it. The writer of the letter told me to keep his identity anonymous.
The writer of the letter claimed that he had business to attend to at Wright Patterson Air force base in Ohio on August 8th. He later paid a visit to his father in Atlanta who was recuperating from an illness. After the visit he hopped another plane to Houston and said that the flight was terrible because of inclement weather. He had describes some remarkable thunderstorms and what he had to say after that was very intriguing.
He claimed that during his trip on August 10th, 2014 he noticed that something seemed a bit odd about the cloud formations and thought that perhaps Houston would soon be experiencing some tornadoes. He said the clouds looked as if they were bubbling up like magma and with the sunset behind them it looked like the sky was on fire. He was completely stunned by the picture that mother nature had given him and after a long trip retired to bed.
It was during the early morning hours of August 11th, 2014 where he was awakened to what he thought was a tornado blowing through his neighborhood. He was awakened at around 3:20 AM on August 11th, 2014 to a rumbling noise that shook his house and was disturbing the neighbors dog. He ran outside and looked up and saw a bright light above his home. At first he thought that what he was seeing was the ISS but then realized that what he was seeing was something more. It was a shimmering light that was moving quickly through the air.
He had his cell phone in his hand and decided to point it towards the sky in an attempt to record the object. After a few seconds the cell phone automatically turned off. When he went into the house to review what he had recorded all he could see was a dark screen. The light was too small to detect in the video and so he felt it was a total loss.
He continued to say that he did not believe that what he saw was a extra terrestrial aircraft since he felt it was not big enough to have a pilot inside. He did however send me two Mp3’s that he felt were the best proof he had that something happened to him.
The first MP3 was obviously the sound of whatever the small UFO was. Of course there was no video just the sound of a strange rumble that had no explanation. I could see why he thought that it was tornado or something else because it did not sound quite like a jet aircraft and it certainly sounded like either a small rocket or perhaps a speeding train.
There were thundershowers moving through the Houston Area on August 11th, 2014 and later that evening there were several other people who were saying that they were seeing strange lights in the thunderstorms over Houston.
However according to the letter I received, the listener told me that while he does not discount the earnest photos of UFO witnesses in Houston, he claimed that a lot of what he was seeing on the nightly news were photos that he believed were shot near Ellington airport. This could mean that what was seen by witnesses could be military aircraft. He believed that what was being shown on the news were strange UFO’s in the sky around 8:00 PM central time near an area called Edgebrook.
I looked at Google maps and it looks as if Edgebrook is about 8 miles from Ellington airport which is both a commercial and military airport.
A few days ago Russia Today reported the UFO flap over Houston and soon Videos of what appear to be some impressive UFO’s were seen in the lightning storm that night.
Click 2 news in Texas interviewed a lot of people about the situation including the vice president for astronomy at the Houston Museum of Natural Science Dr. Carolyn Sumners. Sumners was not to quick at dismissing the object as a hoax but stated that…
“If it’s a real object and it looks like it is. The more people who see it in different directions, the more likely we are to figure out where it is, what it is and see if we can explain it. “It’s easy to say that it could be aliens,” added Sumners. “All the way back to recorded history, there are going to be things we can’t explain. That’s what makes it exciting.”
Meanwhile Lee Spiegel, a UFO enthusiast who also boasts on his website of being intrigued by “aliens, living dinosaurs and the whole range of topics that often overlap the worlds of science and unexplained phenomena,” recently wrote about the unusual sighting for Huffington Post. Even after speaking to other experts in the field, however, he fell short of coming up with an explanation for the mysterious images.
“I took a still frame of part of the Houston video and there’s a part where it almost looks as if smoke trails are visible, perhaps indicating exploding ordnance,” former Federal Bureau of Investigation special agent and paranormal expert Ben Hansen told Spiegel. “It would be an odd occasion to light off such things during the middle of a lightning storm.”
According to the Huffington Post article the stories out of Houston while legitimate UFO stories were beginning to get muddled by opportunists in social media. Opportunists that decided to also confuse the record by producing their own pictures and combining other confusing things light street lights and other easily explained objects into the explanations as to what was seen when none of those things were even close to where the sightings occurred.
Much of what was seen concurred by the Ground Zero listener who sent me the letter. Most of what was seen was too small to be piloted by extra-terrestrials. Most of what was seen was little orbs flying in formation in the shy. He explained that he thought they could have been mini probes of some kind or small cameras that were being used to monitor the thunderstorm.
However he did say that after the excitement of the sightings subsided he decided to head out onto the Interstate 45 Gulf Freeway towards Edgebrook to do some investigating. After a long day of asking questions and getting nowhere he sat in his car to take a break. As he was sitting in his car he said he heard what he thought was sonar outside going up and down a note scale. He thought he was having an audio hallucination at first. He then whipped out his cell phone again and decided to record the sound.
The sound was most certainly an eerie probing sound that resembles sonar. He explained to me that in all his years in the military he had never heard anything like that sound. Other people heard it too and wondered what it was.
He asked me if I could play the sound on my show to see if anyone else has heard it and what they think it might be. He said if anything was to sound as if it was being generated by aliens this would have to be it.
I decided to listen to the sound and it is truly an amazing sound. However, my ears are picking up on other sounds that are buried” in the background noise.
Once again after all of the excitement of a UFO flap over Houston Texas it is easy to jump to conclusions. Then again this sound is one of the most unusual sounds I have ever heard.
Back in the spring of 2011 there was buzz on the internet about strange sounds that have been recorded in Europe, the Midwest, and in other areas of unknown groaning or ringing. Many compared to the sounds of the “horn” used by the alien tri-pods from the movie War of the Worlds.
This sound is different and makes you wonder if this is the sound of some hidden alien probe that could not be found. Something that may have fell from the shy after all of the UFO; s were seen over Houston.
Texas was not the only area of the country to be bombarded with UFO sightings, Canadians were reporting some strange objects in the sky at the same time and the residents of Paxton Pennsylvania caught on camera a huge UFO that even the police could not identify.
Stephanie Wilkerson says she was relaxing on her porch in Lower Paxton Township, Pa., when she spotted an object in the night sky. She claims that the UFO was so big and ominous that she was terrified of it.

Wilkerson also called 911 but when an officer arrived at her home, even he could not explain the mysterious objects in the sky. Authorities contacted both the local airport and the National Guard training center, but neither had records of any flight activity that night.
The UFO appeared two nights later and this time many more people witnessed it and also said that the UFO was huge like a mother ship and very threatening looking.
Just a few months prior in Altoona Pennsylvania, residents were witnessing red glowing orbs that would appear to land and then rise up and shoot off into space.
Here on earth when we set out to explore extraterrestrial terrain we send out probes and rovers to get the lay of the land before we send manned missions out into space.
While many believe aliens have visited this planet many times in the past, could it be outside the realm of possibility that many of the UFO’s that we hope are piloted by extra-terrestrials could be probes that they send down to prepare a spot for landing or exploration?
It is not that much of a stretch to believe that other intelligent civilizations throughout the galaxy have, through stages of their development, used space probes as a means of gathering information about the universe around them.
Going back a few years it is an interesting aside to point out that in October of 2011 more than 100 UFOs were seen along the India-China border. The Times of India reported that what the military was tracking were “yellowish spheres that appeared to lift off from the horizon on the Chinese side and slowly traverse the sky for three to five hours before disappearing.”
The Times of India added that the UFO sightings have stumped numerous Indian military groups, including their air force, NTRO technical intelligence agency and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police. The Los Angeles Times reported that intelligence had ruled out the simple answer of the UFO’s being Chinese drones or low-orbit satellites.
Even though officials tried to calm the population with possible down to earth explanations the people were not convinced that the objects were from earth or even friendly. It was proposed by the military that what they were seeing were quite possibly robotic probes flying above military targets. They did not however say that they were extraterrestrial.
When working on stories dealing with UFO subject matter, the cases become routine and strange lights that are in the sky at night can always be explained away as some sort of star creating an optical illusion in the polluted air or extra bright landing lights by some plane.
Many times we have seen skeptics use these excuses, however the cycle of the reports have varying degrees of difference and it appears that more people who are not exposed to UFO’s or UFO stories from the media are now finding themselves in situations where they are seeing aircraft or hearing things that they really can’t explain.
